ISIN Denied

ISIN Denied

If your ISIN application was DENIED and you would like assistance in reapplying for an ISIN – either in the same or a different jurisdiction – feel free to contact us.

Reasons for ISIN Being Denied

There are many reasons an ISIN number application can be denied. One common reason for a rejection is that the issuer’s documentation was not up to common standards, or was missing information, or inconsistencies were found throughout the various documents (sometimes only in one document) that was submitted. ISIN.org can assist your firm with deciphering the issues as to why your application was rejected and assist in remedying the situation.

Common Rejections

Debt issuance vs equity issuance rejection can vary. More common in our view is when a company issues debt such as a bond or a note and receives a denial or negative response or a rejection notice. Issuing debt can require multiple characteristics that an issuer simply may not have or even want, yet the issuing body requires it. Thus, the issuer’s application is rejected.

If your company has applied for an ISIN number and has been denied and needs assistance reapplying either in that jurisdiction or in another feel free to contact us: isin@isin.org
